its feedback... is your sub and your other speakers close together, the magnets can cause probs, also if the speaker wire goes to close or cross's other electrical wires, plug strips or circuit breakers, feedback will occur. Last thing i can think of is your phone, how close to the speakers and system is your house phone(cordless usually) and/or cell phone. When my cell phone is on my desk and it rings, i get horrible feedback through the speakers, even if no music is playing.
