The main problem for all fad diets is that they don't teach you to change your lifestyle. Going ON a diet implies that you will one day go OFF the diet. Once you go OFF the diet, you usually go right back to eating the foods that got you fat in the first place. In order to succeed in the long haul, you need to CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE PERMANENTLY.
People on Aikens either (1) stay on induction for too long a period and ruin their health, or (2) go right back to their old eating habits and gain all the weight back they originally lost.

I agree with everything you just said, but quit calling it aikens
You are totally right, it's a permanent lifestyle change.
Also, the induction phase does work, AND you keep losing fat until you meet or exceed your maintenance level.
