Most diets DO push a lifestyle change, but they are usually marketed as quick fixes. My problem is less with the diets and more with the pitch. Of course, as consumers we want to hear that it will be easy. A fool and his money .....
There is a lot of research that suggests that the low carb lifestyle may not be all that healthy in the long run. You need a sufficient amount of carbs to burn energy. On Aikens, carbs are replaced with fats. Too much fat causes high cholesterol, which can lead to heart disease.
Weight loss is not a difficult thing to figure out. Eat fewer calories than you take in. Over time, your body will burn the stored fat as energy and you will lose weight.
