The Bush admin is playing up the idea of an attack to effect the election, period. Can't you guys see this by watching them all repeat the same shit day after day? Now they're trying to get the power to put the election on hold, even though the federal government has no authority regarding elections. Imagine November rolls around, Bush will still be down 6 points, and all of a sudden there will be a code red and the elections will have to be put on hold because of a threat. Then he wheels out a couple brownies from gitmo and says he stopped an attack, boom he screws the people once again. I would have thought that theory was far fetched until reading this week's Newsweek.

and to add....wasnt bush the one who stated, using the power of that almighty mouth of his, that we would never give in to terrorists and their scare tactics? no terrorist or group of terrorists would put the lives of american's on hold.
