I moved away from home to go to university when I was 18. It was a free ride cause my parents were paying for my school, books and rent, food, etc. I didnt have to get a job, I didnt have to do shit. I just sat around watching porn and making sure my grades were good so my parents were happy. Then summer time was about to roll around and my parents told me they expected me to come home for the summer... could I really go back home after being a free man for close to 8 months? The city I am from is small and boring now I live in Toronto which I think is a huge metorpolitan and amazing city, could I go back to the small town?

Anyway, long storey made short, I had 30days to come up with rent or be on a plane back home. You guessed it, I had about $0 to my name and my $500 credit cards (two of them) were maxed out from going to the bar every other day. I borrowed a friends camera and went out and started snapping pictures left and right of chicks who were walking down the street in tight clothes. Got a friend to get me a domain name through godaddy.com and lucked out because www.1and1.com was offering free hosting at the time for 3 years as some promotional thing (they just started hosting for end users, before it was B2B). I signed up with verotel to avoid the Visa charges. Exchanged links with anybody and everybody who would put my link up.

Once I had the site up and traffic coming in I started signing up for sponsors and submitting galleries. I was the idiot submitting Nasty Dollars FHG's to the hun non-stop every 3-4 days wondering why he wouldnt list me. I finally ended up figuring out what I was doing wrong, made some adjustments and kept on going. After a while (3-4months) I was making about 3-4k a month from the voyeur site and submitted galleries.

Shit, this was suppose to be the short version! lol. Anyway, to wrap things up, I just turned 21, living downtown with a beautiful view of the skyline, in a fairly nice condo, I own a decent car (98 infiniti QX4) and make enough bank to put myself through school and take care of the mortgage, condo fees, tuition, etc.

I know you know its possible to make money in this industry, but now you know its possible to do so in the same situation you're in. Two people offered advice in this thread that I would definitely personally vouch for. 1) Patience and Persistance. When you're first starting out, don't measure your success with how much money is in the bank. If after the first two or even three months you're breaking even, consider yourself ahead of the game. Keep at it. 2) Grow slow and strong and reinvest. Similar to the first one, dont be discouraged if after a couple weeks of promoting you're not getting any hits. Don't be discouraged if you email 1000's of people for link exchanges and only 2 give you the time of day. No matter what, if you keep at what you're doing, sooner or later you will become the person in the position of being able to help others, not vice versa.

Okay, I definitely rambled on waaay too long. Good luck bro.
