If you go back and read it, that thread was a joke. Second - per gigabyte is always going to be more expensive than per mbps as per the increased amount of bandwidth, and potential bandwidth being able to push.
Anyone charging you the same for per GB and basing it off their cost on per Mbps is a joke.
10Mbps capped will be cheaper than 2000GB billed on per GB method.
