Fellow surfer Michael Campbell, 17, said: ?He was just a few metres away, clinging to one shark, trying to whack it and get away, but the sharks just kept going back for more.
?He didn?t stand a chance. They were too big for him to fight off.?
Cameron Rowe, 16, said: ?Everyone was shouting, ?Swim mate, come on? ? but he lost a lot of blood. There were pools of it everywhere.
?The sharks kept on getting him. Both were huge ? about five metres long.
?I saw one get him once more, then he was lying face down in the water.
?We saw the other shark coming towards us, so I caught another wave in.?
