I care about the moon because it is made of cheese, and I happen to love cheese. Who doesn't love cheese? Unless you're lactose intolerant, you probably love the stuff to bits!
One day they will open up mining operations on the moon, and it will be the most expensive cheese on earth.
Therefore, I care because I plan on getting in on this at the ground level, so I need to keep an eye on which companies are starting R&D in this direction.
