Even if this particular site goes away, I fear this will be an ongoing problem for quite awhile ...

Virtually all of these file sharing networks --- whether it's Imesh, Morpheus, Gnutella, Bearshare, Kazaa, etc --- have this type of software installed on their users systems ... They got paid by these advertising companies to do it ... That's how these "free" networks make their money ...

And don't believe them when they say their users consented to it. Check out the message boards on those sites and you'll see users actually complaining about this ... saying they didn't know this stuff was in the enabling software package. Some claim it's disclosed when the user downloads the package but, if so, it's usually buried somewhere that surfers typically don't notice ...

You'll also see people complaining that they have trouble removing even the original file sharing software packages from their computers ...

Not too long ago I read about similar situation where this type of software searches out key words on a website ... highlights the key word ... and creates a link to the advertisers site WITHOUT the webmasters consent ...

Since the RIAA and the MPAA have sued a lot of these networks they may go out of business ... But with millions having downloaded this stuff already ... it could be a big problem, unfortunately.
