True about the good material, but those commercial "designer" clothes are not supposed to last longer than one season because they change styles/colors so hard each time you'll look like a fool wearing clothes from one or more seasons ago
so you want to be a player by buying clothes that cost alot more than they are actually worth, but you can't keep up with the seasons, new styles etc
if you can't play that game like it "should" (from a fashion/rich peoples view), then don't play it at all
When they are discounts on designer clothes i see everybody buying them ... then they just look like a fool when they show off their last seasons armani or whatever (sure, they'll have a better price/quality ratio hehe)
it defeats the whole purpose of buying those clothes
If you want to wear designer clothes longer than they last in "fashion", you need to buy less commercial brands, those that stick to their style and colors
for example Paul & Shark
those brands don't even give discounts, if you're lucky the store will give you 5% with a fedelity card (or whatever it's called)
