If you are looking to share resources in that matter, are you looking to just have remote access to your desktop from the laptop? For that windows has terminal services and remote desktop, or you can download Remote Administrator from
www.radmin.com to accomplish it, but why not just get a decent laptop and use that as a standalone machine?
