An ePassporte Visa Electron card is as real as any other issuers Visa card.
It's true that Electron cards are not as well known in the U.S. as they are abroad, but ignorance doesn't change the facts.
ePassporte's Visa Electron card will work at any merchant that accepts Visa and gets an electronic authorization.
Granted, I've had a couple of U.S. clerks look at the card twice as well. Only one ever questioned me about it and still took it for payment.
-- All any clerk really cares about is getting an auth on the card. Once their cash register starts printing out the receipt they are just as happy as can be. Like Pavlov's dog.
