I use it to test songs out. I dont feel like buying a CD if most of the songs suck. So if I like what I hear - I buy it, if not then oh well the songs get deleted and I move on. I would never burn a CD or pay for a CD to download - I want the real thing.. just better that way IMHO.
or - I DL songs of OLD songs I liked way back when that I either have the single on tape - or gasp on a record. I have already paid for the song - just getting it on the computer.
So how is that like trading passwords? I know not everybody does this - but thats what I use it for.
