These women are the absolute backbone of the industry. Without them, with no gorgeous women that are willing to do the things that men everywhere want to see (and women), there would BE no adult industry, period. In light of that fact, these women need and deserve to be treated with some respect.
I allow no one to be present that isn't required to be present. If the model wants to "bring a friend along" for her own comfort, I make sure and ask her if she is going to mind posing with that person present. Otherwise it's just her and I and my assistant (If I require an assistant). It is a good idea to have one person other than the photog and the model to act as a witness, but the model's comfort is important. Anyone that thinks different is likely not seeing a lot of repeat business from their models. Mine call me constantly looking for more work, and it is largely because I treat them like people.
