Hi Guys,
I hope I am not too late for the Party

, first of all I think tootie gave a very good answer about their fee structure and how helpful they are for webmasters outside EU and US.
When I launched my site
www.hardcore-indian-girls.com about 1 1/2 months ago I couldn't set up Visa processing because of the new Visa laws requiring US billing companies such as CCBill, Paycom and Ibill requiring site owners to have a social sec number and have a registered US business to accept Visa processing and pay the $750 yearly Visa fee.
Of course paying the fee is no problem but if your outside US getting a business registered in US and getting a social sec number can be lot's of work and takes time.
So I found out about Cards Gate and used as our primary processor since they don't require any of the Visa fees or Business registrations on US soil etc for processing Visa.
And I have to say that they have been very good to us from day #1. Their setup is a bit tough but I let their tech guys do the whole thing for me and they did it overnight for me. I gave the FTP access and log in's to my members area and they setup billing and everything for me. And that HTML tracking code is no biggy you just need to paste it on your tour pages.
They have a few pros and cons.
Pros
1. A good pick for non-us and EU webmaster setting up new paysites.
2. Fairly simple control panel and easy to navigate.
3. Epassporte pay and wires on time.
4. They are coming up with a pay-per sign up system for the affiliate program ( where site owners can pay a flat fee to promoters )
Cons
1. That $25 charge back penalty is a BITCH!
2. They keep a 10% hold for 6 months.
But all in all I would say Cards gate is a fairly good program. If you can't get a business incorporated in US for setting up VIsa then def go with Cards Gate. Also if your a small site looking for a quick way around the Visa fees and fast setup Cards Gate is ok
I also have CCBill setup for my site as well. But at the moment our CCBill account is active for only Master Card, JCB and Discover transactions only.
The important thing with these guys is that they listen to your suggestions and thire teamp is always on ICQ for any questions or help with your account. If they can reduce that 10% hold and drop the chargeback penalty from $25 to $15 I think their program would be truly great.
I am going to have Visa processing on CCBill very soon and have the affiliates pick the billing company they want to go with. But if affiliates want a flat pay-per signup deal they'll have to opt for Cards gate becuase CCbill doesn't have such an option for site owners to set out flat payment rates.
All in all I am pretty happy with them, we're number 2 on their top list after 50 days of strong sales and very soon we'll knock that other site and be number 1
