As sad as that picture is is does prove a good point.
The only reason it is an 'owned picture' is because the child is dying of starvation needlessly, and 'we' are directly or indirectly at fault for it.
There is enough food in the world to feed everyone, all 6 or 7 billion of us, and at current life expectancy earth's human population will plateux at around 10 billion and we'd be able to have enough for all 10 billion as well.
The sad and needlessly part comes in when you find out that the only reason these people aren't getting the food that is available, and going to waste, is because it is cheaper for companies to let the food expire than ship it anywhere, and I'm not talking about shipping it around the world themselves, I'm talking about having it leave their storage facilities.
Hopefully someday the world will force all food that is sitting to expire to be distributed around the world.
Cheers,
Matt
