You're not the only one to see the changes, hon. I see it too.
GFY has evolved a bit, and I'm not sure if it's for the better or not. There's still some attitude problems, but for the most part, those who really made up GFY back in the day are disturbingly either quiet or apathetic, when it used to be their full-on assault that would make 'em or break 'em.
We've kinda turned into the "kinder, gentler GFY". Granted again that this is GFY, and the "Fucking Around" area, but there was a time when a good question was recognized and often answered, not flamed off the board.
Everyone gets flames, and I'm not saying that back in the day there were none, oh no. Quite the contrary. However, intelligence spoke volumes then, not photoshopped pics of checks or cars. If you had your shit together and your head screwed on right, then you'd inherit the GFY thick-skin and build on it.
Things have definitly changed. Let's hope it's all for the best. Cheers.
