men who cheat often love their wives but may not connect on a certain level anymore; sex, understanding, lazyness, etc etc.
doesnt mean that they're not in love with the person, just means that after so long with someone, something has died/faded from what it used to be for many years.
most men (and i can see their point) would rather keep the woman they love, a stable family, 2 incomes, no breaking up/divorce drama crap, and just go and seek someone to fullfull that 'need' that had died/faded away over time.
it could be a female friend who is there to listen to him, or someone just holding hands in public because the man misses public display of affection, or a new sexual partner/friend with benefits because the wife is not performing, not performing good enough, or doesnt care to have sex at all anymore.
