whats everyone doing for new years?

i want to take my girlfriend to dublin for new years to meet my parents and such. but, she cant make it...so, i will be stuck in the states for new years. any recommendations on where to go besides NYC?

i will just be going for 3 nights and it must be in the usa. i was thinking boston. she is from washington dc(where i wanted to go) but was thinking seattle. if i go to seattle for new years, it will be quite odd calling my mother at 4pm to tell her happy new years! lol
