I have to agree with you here, as designers the number one rule is ...dont trash other peeps designs. That what they first taught us in design school...The reason for this is you can burn bridges with other designers.
which equals potential work. It also makes you look lame trash talking others designs so yours looks better.
Heres the real deal I thought was funny... I had afriend who trashed talked design on a regular basis... so he goes to a job briefing for a logo/website design... and he meets the boss and the boss shows him existing logo and website... and my friend goes on and on about how lame it looks and really goes overboard on the insults...guess who made the it...thats right ...the boss himself.
So be professional and play fair you never know what lies behind door #2
