They're both shih tzus. Mine, Chloe, now weighs about 18 pounds. They are on the top end of the small dog size. What's nice is they don't have a small dog bark. Chloe's bark when someone comes to the door has the person at the door wondering what is coming when the door open. When they see how low to the ground she is, they are surprised. Shih tzus can be left long haired (their fur will grow to where it touches the ground), but I prefer what's called a puppy cut for Chloe.
