Try to get her to eat something really light or just a cup of ginger tea BEFORE she get's out of bed, that's the trick - if she really can't stomach anything at all then ginger beer or water should settle the stomach and keep her hydrated (de-hydration can be a really big problem with chronic morning sickness).
As for pregnant women being a pain, you just wait until the hormones kick in and she's insatiable
