Considering that there is a niche for everything, (granted, this would be a MICRO niche, no doubt), why not make small sites in varying colors, all pointing to one larger site? That way you don't have to worry about the color of the season, just worry about finding the traffic....which, quite possibly, the majority of people wouldn't give two shits about the colors, but the good content. Think of it as a new marketing ploy that just might work....especially if it were teen girls, single girl sites maybe?
