I had a 5 foot nile monitor very similar to that. he had a huge ass glass cage in my room. looked like something the zoo would keep them in, this fucker ate 15 goldfish every few days and loved the water. he would sleep in the pool in his cage. then one day he managed to get out, he cornered my sister and lashed the blood out of her legs with his tail...he had to go after that. They are cool animals though just not very friendly.
