well, stereotypes don't arise in a vacuum.
stereotypes exist because of certain general observations by large numbers of people. stereotypes are neither bad nor good.
as long as a high % of any group are fuckups there will be negative stereotyping which will effect the innocent members of that group. positive stereotyping also exists.
stereotyping does affect business decisions. i used to run a large high end retail business that required running the credit apps of people interested in the product. there is a HUGE statistical differential in credit scoring along different racial lines.
now a wonder if anyone can score these racial groups via credit scores:
blacks, japanese, korean, arabic, filipina, anglo.
liberals might tell you the credit ratings of all these groups must be the same.
guess what, day after day, year after year, they are NOT the same.
credit ratings tell of a group's flakiness.
guess who is always at the fuckin' bottom.
this is the shit bill cosby is referring to, and there's really no way to sugarcoat it.
