This being the first reason for Bush's "war" - but that has changed a few times over. It was then, "to free the people of Iraq" and a few subtle variations on that. This is probably the first time in history a nation did not know a "specific" valid reason to go to war, but it would be argued that "we are stopping terrorism" and "making the world a safer place". Hell - it's about time he stopped playing that record - it's a source of smirking at his incompetence. Clearly the world is not a "safer place".
If the "excuse" levels for a war continue to diminish, it's going to deplete to a level offered over Afghanistan and "giving the women of Afghanistan freedoms". Iraq? How about "Every Iraqi child should have the right to use toothpaste each morning and be treated with Prozac".

Nice "words"! When? OBL and other "associated organizations" now have more support than their "recruitment offices" can handle. All thanks to that thing called "US foreign policy". Tis hard to beat for it's utter naivety and greed!
