Wrong?? Na, he's not done anything wrong
Lies come from "outright lying", "errors of ommission", the introduction of "slants" and a few more subtle ways. Bush is not prone, unless he gets caught out, of heading for the "outright lies" - this is too stupid. Instead he heads for all the "other kinds of lies" and innuendo. He knows this well... note his "candor" when he cares to speak about the time he was "not taking drugs" in his earlier life and his "reluctance" when on the subject of his "supposed" military career.
This "lying" is maybe the basis of why he may not be liked - he lies almost daily. There is rarely a speech he can make without lying. This difference to him lying and others is that his lying has serious implications on many people.
The "hate" in the US may stem from the fact that Bush has done almost nothing for the US domestically. He reversed his election promises within 10 days of his "election" and, despite an economic global "dip" (which can't be attributed to him), - he has had absolutely no control over any US fiscal policy. When he said, "I know it's a budget - it's got numbers on it", was probably "the" extent of his commercial ability since he has shown none before his presidency.
Internationally why he may be "hated" by the majority of people on the planet is that he is dishonorable (he's still lying) and has chosen to rescind treaties as he (and the phoney "justice department"), feel fit. This are treaties which past US presidents have work hard to make part of the basis of "due process" on behalf of both the US people and the rest of the world. It takes time to set these up - it takes Bush and the DOJ 5 minutes to destroy.
As far as him "kicking ass" - this imbecile has sat on his ass, - when he was not dressing up in a military uniform for photo ops, - and engaged the US in a war that killed around 12000 - 20000, mostly innocent people in Iraq, and maimed thousands more. That excludes the 800 US military who were killed and not forgetting the injuries to many more of them. It is *very* easy to sit on your ass, with no military experience, and make these "presidential decisions". If that is "kicking ass", my dog can do that, but he seems to have more transparency and he don't lie.
The "bucha hate" may not be "hate" as such, but a looking forward to "justice" - sorry, I mean "real justice" - not "justice according to George", and seeing Bush and his entourage have their payback time. This secretive, allegedly democratic, "presidental club" (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz blah), need to be in the same court along with Saddam Hussein. The payback time will come in some form or other, sooner or later - but probably sooner.
The US will take decades to live down this lying asshole's legacy.
