That is precisely why, in my post, I said "most".... as in "in most cases". I know full well there are also other reasons why Lens chose to ban certain individuals, but aside from those few special cases most bannees have deserved it.
Not so on certain other boards.
I've seen people (myself included) get banned simply for disagreeing with someone, or standing up for themselves when being pissed at, or for speaking their mind openly on a contraversial issue (such as reporting a known thief).
Always, the person doing the pissing or on the other end of the argument is some tater tot who has been given control of the ban button. It makes them feel important, it eases their own insecurities, and among the weak-minded we all know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is much easier for them to ban rather than have someone dare to disrupt thier happy little fantasy land.
I find there is a far higher instance of unwarranted bannings on other boards than GFY or even Oprano. Far higher.
