A couple of years ago I was invited to "the land of opportunity" to work as a programmer. I got a few invitations from Stony Brooke University (may be you heard about such one). You know... my wife told me that I can go to the States but only without her. I.e. there I was faced against the decision: go to "the land of opportunity", or stay with my family. Do you know what exactly I have decided
Actually that was very good decision based on financial aspect - I making here much more than it was suggested by that US University.
By the way, the 90s have passed so fast. Russia has changed A LOT for even 3-4 last years. Only complete losers and scammers are willing to move to the USA. They are too naive if they are expecting to improve their live status in the USA... My sincere suggestion: beware such sort of people.
P.S. Lots of those people who have immigrated to the USA in 90s now are returning to Russia.
