Get some decent brand mobo like ASUS or ABit to make sure your video card works fine. Another word of advice, AMD is way faster than Intel for games, however if you are going to render video, Intel is the way to go. I think 3.0GHz Intel will finish the job 20% faster than AMD 3000+. If you are going to spend some money, get the newest AMD Athlon 64 3800+ socket 939, that on can't be beaten by Intel.
For harddisk, if you go with Serial ATA, buy the Western Digital Raptor 73GB (WD740GD, 10.000rpm, 8MB, SATA), you will love them for video editing.
