If you can ignore the "I was abducted by an alien" part of rense.com it is a good place to use as a gateway to "independent" media here and abroad. There are some very off-the-wall opinions there, but after a while you will collect links to a lot of good US and foreign news sources and visit them directly.

It's fair to say that Moore's film would be having far less impact (it likely wouldn't have been made at all), if the TV news in particular were not so sanitized.
Sorry... you are correct... I should have stated "Mainstream Media" or Corporate Media is a better term.
