Oh, absolutely. I don't actually see how anybody can fail in this business, because everything you do is cumulative. It took me forever (working part time) to start seeing any rent-sized checks, but I was always in it for the long haul. The first gallery I ever built is still out there in modified form, hauling in a few search engine hits and sending traffic and pagerank to my current projects. You can't fail, all you can do is quit before you succeed.

My biggest mistake was a reluctance to spend money. Any moron knows that a new business takes *forever* to get going if you bootstrap it up from nothing with no capital except your initial tiny profits. And yet, that's what I did. It worked, but it took me a year longer than it needed to.
