It's not about gore or use of the images for entertainment. It's about not sugar-coating the realities. I'm pretty sure if Saddam and company had released daily videos back in their extermination days they would have never remained in power until last year.
People have many ideas how things should be run. I think we all should have the right to see the results of the paths chosen for us as well as ignore it on any level most comfortable. I won't pretend to be even remotely qualified to choose your level and you are nowhere in touch with me enough to choose mine.

Bullshit. Pure and utter bullshit.
Should the reality of the existence of kiddy porn be sugarcoated?
No?
Then should websites make it available so people can see "reality"? With advertising surrounding it? In fact using it simply as a way to gain viewers and thus income?
And are the people that watch it simply taking a glance at what "the real world" is like? Or are they actually sick fucks for even wanting to see shit like that?
Now, you could say that there is a big difference. But really, there isn't. Kiddy porn and brutal murders are both disgusting, vile things. If you watch them out of your own free will without any necessity, that says something about you.
"I didn't watch the snuff flick for entertainment, really! I just watched it because I find it extremely important to get a good perspective on all sides of reality!"
Get a fucking grip.
