i think it's 70-30 that Shaq stays in LA but if he forces their hand getting Nowitzki isn't bad - Shaq is making crazy money, he's demanding from any team he is with for a three year contract extension at crazy money. Shaq is getting older, chances of him breaking down are in the next few years are pretty good. Nowtizki is much younger, will be an All-Star for the next 10 years.

Shaq is in a class by himself as a force but it might make sense for the Lakers to start rebuilding now and Nowitzki is a nice place to start.
