lol, thats why they say "all entries will become property of blabla" when they throw a banner contest. Think about it, throw in 100 bucks for a banner contest and have a whole bunch of people posting (sometimes multiple) banner(s). Nice way of getting some promo material
Ofcourse it is a good way to show your skills though
