well i don't know everything, but ii have invested in real estate for 30 years, and i've heard all the excuses of why it is a bad investment and one should not buy now.
and the people who laughed when i bought slum property in rough neighborhoods in the 70's are still living in apartments, and will never have much to leave to their children.
and they will visit me sometimes, and i'll let their kids swim in my pool.
