Wow. It's no wonder people don't understand Islam. You obviously have NOT read the early Muslim texts. Mohammed and Ali conquered the entire Arabian peninsula - you know, by killing people. War.
In just the first few decades of Islam, the Muslims conquered the Arabian peninsula and parts of Egypt, Libya, Israel, Iran, and Turkey. Not long after that they were all the way to Spain.
