Adult, or not, w/ comp as your income it's best to say your "in the industry".
If prompted for more then next say your "income derives of bringing traffic
to e-comm facilities". Occasionally there is always a joker who keeps drilling
so for them you start talking "deep". Deep= tech talk about MHz buses,
manipulation of Apache directives, php, perl, asp, blah blah...
and...if they have balls enough to still drill you, you tell 'em "hey, you don't
mind if we talk about something else? I do this every day and I would like
to enjoy my time away from it. Tnx".
g/f's? If they live w/ you it's inevitable you have to tell them something. If
they don't then no reason to tell them anything, or use the "funneling traffic"
story. Depends on who is the
strong one in the relationship.

It's not so much about
hiding as it is about avoiding being stereo-typed
and steering clear of holier-than-thee attitudes.
Nothing wrong with being honest, only next time you don't get invited to
the Johnson's for Christmas you'll know why. Ppl can be "funny". They smile
but they hate.
