In this country most barns and big houses have them.
I've never felt the heat, that's too close. I've been close enough to almost be knocked off my horse, and I've seen St. Elmo's fire across cows backs and between my horse's ears.
That's some voodoo shit there, but not too dangerous. Basically just big static, but spooky.
