Actually I think burning a flag in protest is ok (and so does the supreme court)
I'm also opposed to the proposed flag burning amendment to the constitution.
The thing is it has to be YOUR flag that you burn. Burning your own flag is an act of political protest.
Burning someone else's flag is first of all theft (since you have to take their flag) and also criminal property damage. (depending on your local statutes)
