Very interesting indeed.

About the storage space: they only save the html code, not the images; by doing so, the space required is not so big (that´s how google manages to keep a copy of the source codes of the pages they index).

I once heard from a guy who works with SE design that ALL the Brazilian pages took just a few Megabytes to be stored. Of course, US web is much bigger, but so are the budgets.
