There was a radio DJ about 30 years ago who went without sleep for a week as a publicity stunt. The hallucinations and nausea were nothing. He basically went crazy a couple months after and had to be committed to a mental ward.
I do a thirty minute
cat nap occasionally and that works great as a recharge.
