imagine this scenario. a company selling feeds drops $12K on a sig. through that sig, they acquire a customer whose monthly bill is $2500. in 5 months, they've paid off the cost of the sig. anything after that is profit. and we're talking a business relationship that can last for months.

now imagine if that $12K sig refers to webmasters with bills like that. plus all the little guys pushing $200 and $500 bills. it adds up.

here's another scenario. that $12K sig refers a webmaster sending 500 sales a month. whip out your calculator and see how quickly that adds up, especially if you factor in cross sales, upsells, etc.

throw in another 15 webmasters sending 5-50 sales a month. we're not talking peanuts here.
I am not doubting the fact that the big sig guys bring in affiliates, but $12,000 for one single sig??? That is absolutly too much and overkill.
