I didnt know untill I read it it is a FEDERAL law in the USA that the doctors must ASK both parents if they want their son circumsized.
Some lady sued the hospital in Chicago, why? They routinely had gotten used to circumsizing every male that as soon as a boy was born they would do it without asking for permission. She sued for something like $3 mil and won.
