First I bought a gmail invitation from ebay for $50 and opened an email account.

It still goes for that much or even more.

Since then, gmail gave me 4 invitations that I could send out, just for beta testing their service. I could sell them on ebay for $50 and make 4 times my money back, but i havent done that.

Someone can just buy lots and lots of gmail accounts, and sell the invitations later. I figured you can get some pretty nice ROI if you get several invitations per account just like I did.
