no...nothing's easy.
You don't lose your copyright by sending a *copy* of the release, nor do you transfer your copyright. That power can only be granted through your license, as it's the only document that will presumably be executed (signed). By sending a copy of the release, though, you can argue that the licensee was properly informed of the boundaries of his rights in case he violates the terms of the release. If your license is more restrictive in all areas than the release, then you're probably covered, anyway, and it's not necessary. Personally, I like to see a copy of a signed release, because it contains information pertinent to 2257: model's uninfluenced concent, any stagename/alias she uses, etc.
