A study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research proves what some of us suspected all along: sexual activity plays a significant role in people's happiness. Among the tidbits in this report are
The median number of times for intercourse is 2-3 times a month
Almost 50% of women and 20% of men over the age of 40 didn't have sex in the previous year
80% of women and 70% of men under the age of 40 had no more than one sexual partner in the previous year
Sex makes highly educated people happier than it does people with low levels of education
Homosexuality has no statistically significant effect on happiness, but a strong positive effect on the amount of sexual activity
Married people have more sex than single, divorced, widowed, or separated people.
