carpal tunnel...don't worry though, it will get worse and you will be forced to get a proper diagnosis.
OMG what can i do....I'm gonna die!!! Go get an ergonomic keyboard, get a gel mouse pad (if you use the optical mouse turn the pad around so the part you are supposed to put your mouse on is hanging off your desk and the only thing on your desk is a gel part).
Next...proper chair with back support. Height of the chair should be where your feet just sit flat on the floor and your knees are in line with your hips. Monitor should be the height where you look straight ahead without looking down.
Exercise time: Take frequent breaks. Bend your elbows, put your hands together like you are going to pray...now open your spread your fingers apart, move your palms away (think of the position your hands would be in if you were doing pushups on the floor with just your fingertips...but instead of putting them on the floor...put the fingertips together)...now press the fingertips into each other without putting the hands together....one...two...three...four five.....now go back to praying hands and push every so slightly....one...two...three...back to fingertips....(this should be repeated three times)
Do the exercise every hour you are sitting at the keyboard.
There is a couple more exercises I used to do (given to me by an ergonomic freak) that got rid of the constant pain and numbness but i forget them....
End result...went away and now if my hands get a little tired...i do do something else for 20 minutes.
