The United States didn't liberate Europe from the Nazis?

The United States entered WWII and invaded Europe becuase our allies were getting their asses kicked. France, Italy, Albaina, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary Austria, Belgium, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Norway were all under Nazi control as of June 1944.

The only country with the balls enough to stand up to it was England. Mother Russia - with all of it's vast countryside and nearly unlimited resources - had sided with Germany, and then was attacked by Nazi Germany. Russia lost nearly 1/3 of it's country to Germany - and millions and millions of their men.

Of course, The United States was a bit busy fighting it's own war in the Pacific in which no one was helping us. At the same time we contined to supply our allies in Europe with tanks, ships, planes - and men.

What would have happened if the United States didn't open up a second front in Europe? The combined forces of the US, England, and Cananda allowed Russia to fight off the attack deep into their country because Germany was forced to defend itself on two fronts.

If it wasn't for the United States and the combined forces that invaded the coast of France during D-Day, Europe would be under the control of Nazi Germany today - or worse, it would have been part of Russia.
