Sorry, man I know that pain.
I remember when I first came to Florida and everyone kept telling me to watch out for the fire ants.
So I'm working around our first place here and see some big mean ass looking black ants and I'm thinking whoa those must be the fire ants everyone told me about cause of how big they were.
Then I see these little tiny red guys in a mound and I'm thinking boy these critters know how to build a nice sized mound. But they look like a bunch of lightweights compared to the big black dudes. So I start flattening out their mound with my foot.
Next thing I know, a zillion of them are coming out of the ground, and I'm thinking damn they're not happy campers their mound is getting tossed, but I still thought they were so small and non-threatening looking so I kept at it.
All of a sudden, I start feeling stinging on my ankle, one two three four five . . . and I start jumping around trying to shake them off and I realized oh my god these must be the fire ants not the big black ones.
I was so freaked out I jumped in the pool itching like hell.
They are now public enemy number 1.
